Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric: Unveiling the Brand's Most Powerful Production Car

Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric Debuts as Most Powerful Production Model
Porsche has officially unveiled its most powerful production car ever, the Cayenne Coupe Electric. This new variant builds upon the Cayenne EV platform, offering a more design-focused approach with enhanced aerodynamics and a sleeker profile. The Cayenne Coupe Electric is set to redefine performance standards for the brand.

Unprecedented Power and Performance
The headline figure for the Cayenne Coupe Electric is its staggering power output. It delivers up to 1,156 horsepower, making it the most potent production Porsche to date, surpassing even the Taycan Turbo GT. This immense power is channeled through an advanced 800V platform, enabling rapid charging capabilities. The vehicle can recharge from 10% to 80% in approximately 16 minutes, supporting charging speeds of up to 400 kilowatts. Powering this performance are dual electric motors, fed by a substantial 113.0 kilowatt-hour battery, which provide all-wheel drive. For efficiency, the front motor can decouple when maximum power is not required. At launch, Porsche will offer three distinct power levels: the base model with 408 hp (442 hp with overboost), the S variant providing 544 hp (666 hp with overboost), and the top-tier Turbo model, which can reach 857 hp or an astonishing 1,156 hp with overboost. The 0–62 mph acceleration is achieved in around 2.5 seconds.
Aerodynamic Design and Chassis Technology
The Cayenne Coupe Electric distinguishes itself with a more distinctive and aerodynamic exterior compared to the standard Cayenne EV. It features a sleeker design that emphasizes airflow efficiency, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.23. The Coupe sits over 0.8 inches lower than the standard SUV, contributing to a more planted stance. Its overall length measures nearly 16.4-foot. The chassis technology is equally sophisticated, incorporating adaptive air suspension and the innovative Porsche Active Ride system for precise damper control. Additionally, rear-axle steering enhances maneuverability.
Advanced Interior and Comfort
Inside, the Cayenne Coupe Electric blends advanced technology with driver-centric design. The cabin features a digital instrument cluster, a large curved central display, and an optional screen for the passenger. An available augmented-reality head-up display projects crucial information directly into the driver's line of sight. Porsche has maintained a balance between physical controls and digital interfaces for intuitive operation. Despite its sporty coupe silhouette, the interior is designed to accommodate four adults comfortably. Practicality is further enhanced by a 3.2-cubic-foot front trunk, offering additional storage space.
Model Variants and Availability
Porsche will introduce the Cayenne Coupe Electric in three power configurations: base, S, and Turbo. The debut of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric marks a significant step in Porsche's electrification strategy, following the introduction of the standard Cayenne EV earlier this year. Further details regarding pricing and specific market availability are expected to be announced.
